Question by GW: From an Arizona real estate perspective, what makes a legal bedroom?
I have a walk in study/den that I want to turn into a bedroom in Arizona. When it comes time to sell the house, I want this to be a real 4th bedroom. What has to be done? Does it need a closet? Do I need to wire a smoke alarm to the rest of the house? Can the closet be a portable job from Ikea? Anything else to think about?
